ArticlesMidsomer Norton's town centre has gone virtual, thanks to a brand new website that provides a feature-packed space for local businesses and community news.
MidsomerNorton.biz has been created as an online hub for the town near Bath, Somerset, which both private residents and companies can use to trade, publicise upcoming events, share local news and much more.
Free to use and open to all, visitors to the website will be met by the latest updates and given the opportunity to post their own content and advertisements.
By providing a straightforward platform for online trading, the site aims to be of particular help to local business during the UK's current economic difficulties.
Other features of the new website include a property section, classified ads, advertising space for businesses and a local weather forecast.
The site also features a discussion forum for local businesses, designed specifically to make it easier for business owners in the area to talk to each other and share their ideas and experience.
James Burfield, whose locally-based web design agency James Burfield Consultancy created the site, hopes it will become a thriving e-commerce base for the whole community.
James said: 'This is the first site of its kind to be made especially for the people of Midsomer Norton, where they can take centre stage.
'Anyone can get involved, whether they want to expand the reach of their business, look for a new home, share something with the community or just see what's going on in the town.
'We hope that in time, MidsomerNorton.biz will become a real one-stop online shop for the whole town.'
